We all know that Paris Hilton is one of the heirs to the Hilton Hotel fortune. While she likes to be in the limelight a good number of heirs are just the opposite. These heirs like to live quiet and private lives.
One of them is Austen S. Cargill II he was born in 1951 and is the great-grandson of William W. Cargill, the founder of agricultural giant, Cargill. Austen graduated from the University of Minnesota and earned a Master’s degree from the same school as well. He also obtained a PhD from Oregon State University.
Austen joined Cargill as a marine biologist and later joined its Board of Directors in 1995. He then went on to serve as its Vice President until 2001. Austen is believed to own 7 percent of Cargill. This is the largest private company in the U.S. which had revenues of $137 billion in fiscal year ended May 2013. The firm does business in many areas of the food industry, processing crops, trading commodities, sourcing ingredients and other activities.
Along with five other highly private relatives, Austen owns majority of the agribusiness giant. After serving as vice president he retired to a ranch in Montana; still living the private live he and his relatives are known for.
